CREATIVE OF THE WEEK «« Nkwali || Singer, Dancer, Songwriter Noma Nkwali real name Nomathamsanqa Mkwananzi was born in Bulawayo Zimbabwe. her first major role in the arts came at the age of seven when she was as an extra in the movie Power of One, starring iconic Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman and Zimbabwe’s Alois Moyo.

In 2006 Nkwali landed a role as a lead singer and dancer in the popular international circus Show Mother Africa and toured the world. Nkwali went solo in 2015 and released an accapella album called 'Sithokozile which won her a Zimbabwe Music Award (ZIMA) award for best Acapella album in 2016.

Last year she scooped the Outstanding Female Artist of the year award at the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards.

A protegé of the famous Inkululeko Yabatsha School of Arts (Iyasa), Nkwali has performed across the world in countries like UK, Australia, US, Germany, Singapore, Philippines, Germany, Austria. The talented musician has a beautiful and powerful catalogue of music and videos to her name. In 2020 she released Uyimbokodo a song that bemoans gender based violence and celebrates women.
