Zimbabwean music legend ambuya stella Chiweshe who was known for her skills in playing the mbira has died in Harare suburb kambuzuma she was 76 years old and gave us beautiful music such as Chachimurenga in 1987, nhemamusasa, nehondo and huya uzoona.

She was nicknamed ambuya Chinyakare,In Zimbabwe before independence she released more than 20 songs of mbira and her first single kasahwa went gold in 1975.

Her solo work established her as one of the most original artists in the contemporary African scene using popular music to show the deepness and power of her traditional spiritual music at home and abroad.
