Remembering Chibaba Gwendeza "Soul Musaka, the soul that Jah Loved." Three years ago today, the shocking news of Zimdancehall star Soul Jah Love's passing left music fans in disbelief.

The talented singer lost his battle with diabetes complications at Mbuya Dorcas Hospital at the age of 31, leaving the entertainment industry in mourning. Known affectionately as Sauro, this Highfield-born artist had a way with words that resonated with people from all walks of life.

His talent was indescribable yet deeply felt, like a captivating romance that effortlessly captured hearts. His ability to create music seemingly out of thin air was unparalleled. Sadly, even the inspiration drawn from his masterful art couldn't provide the hope he needed during his toughest times.

He was someone with his own kind of art, which was different from the rest. Sauro’s art, though many people will not believe it, kept Zim Dancehall afloat. Soul Jah Love left a very big void in Zim Dancehall which will be very hard, if not impossible to fill.
